Alicia started with Metro Volleyball Club in 2010. She is currently the JV coach at Reitz Memorial High School. She has also coached the freshman team at FJ Reitz High School. She has coached various ages for St. John's the Baptist Catholic School for the past four years. She also brings over 20 years of playing experience which is a tribute to her love of the game.
Deb has coached U12-14 age teams for Metro Volleyball club since 2009. She has coach all levels and abilities of teams. She was the director of the North Posey Youth Volleyball league, serving players from North Posey, Mt. Vernon and New Harmony since 2005. She coached various 5th and 6th grade teams also. She loves to teach girls all the basic fundamentals but more importantly she loves to teach young players how exciting and competitive this game can be.
Ashton has been with Metro Volleyball Club since 2009 and has coached, in some capacity, at every age group. He played throughout high school and continued at King's College in Halifax, Nova Scotia as a setter. Ashton has assisted in running clinics and camps for schools around the area. He is dedicated to helping players reach their potential through hard work, structure, and passion for the sport.
Natalie has been coaching at Boonville High School since 2017 as the Varsity Head Coach. She has been with Metro Volleyball Club since 2011 and has coached at the U14 and U17 levels. She also coached North Posey's 8th grade team for two years. Natalie played throughout high school, in an array of positions, and focused more as a defensive specialist while playing at Rend Lake and University of Missouri-Saint Louis (UMSL) in college. She is incredibly passionate about the sport and loves to pass on knowledge that she's gained through her years of playing.
Katie started with Metro Volleyball Club in 2016. She has also been the varsity head coach at Tecumseh High School for 12 years. She coaches because of her passion for the game and is excited to share that with her players.
Andy first joined Metro Volleyball Club in 2016. He has just finished his 4th year as the head coach for the Scott Elementary 4th and 5th grade team. He is from Evansville, Indiana and has over 20 years of playing experience. Andy began playing Club volleyball at University of Southern Indiana were he split time as an outside and middle hitter. Andy looks forward to being able to share his knowledge and passion for the game with the young players.
Becky started with Metro Volleyball Club in 2016. She has been coaching Scott Elementary School's 6th grade volleyball team since 2012. She has also coached North Junior High 7th grade and volunteers her time both at the JV and Varsity levels at North High School. She has over 30 years of playing experience and loves to share her enthusiasm and passion for the game with her players.
Andi played at USI and has coached club at a variety of age levels starting in 2004. She was the head coach for 6 seasons at Mt Vernon HS starting in 2006 and currently the head coach for Memorial HS for her 4th season. She has accumulated 5 Sectional titles and two Regional titles in her 10 year HS coaching career. She is passionate about the game and how sports contribute to how to handle real life situations.
Lauren has been coaching U14 club teams since 2018 and has been with Metro since 2019. She has also coached the freshman and JV teams at Reitz Memorial High School for 5 years. Her seasonal goals is always to develop fundamental volleyball skills while also teaching different strategies players can use during games to be more successful. She aims to prepare her players for their high school careers by working on other skills such as leadership, communication, and discipline both on and off the court.
Leanna comes to metro with 13 years of experience coaching 6th and 7th grade teams. She has been an educator in middle school for over 25 years and enjoys teaching and working with her students and players. She is very excited to share her love and knowledge of the game.
Sonny played club volleyball at University of Evansville in 1992-93. He has been training, coaching, and running volleyball leagues and clinics for over 20 years.
Sonny started Metro VBC in 2009 when he started at Metro Sports Center. He has coached various ages in travel volleyball. Sonny is the current Director of Metro VBC. He has helped, in some capacity, behind the scenes with every aspect of travel volleyball.
Bailey has coached with Metro for the past 3 years. She was a graduate of Carmi White County High School and played at Carmi as a Setter/DS. She has been coaching at North High School since 2018. Bailey is very excited to continue her love for volleyball and continue coaching at Metro.
Ashley is currently the Head Varsity Volleyball Coach at North High School. She played volleyball at USI for 4 years and upon graduating in 2013, was the Varsity Coach at Mater Dei for 2 seasons. She is originally from Columbus, IN and played travel volleyball out of the Indianapolis area. Ashley is excited to bring her knowledge and experience to Metro and joint the Metro family!
Melissa has been coaching volleyball since 2020 and has coached both U11 and U13 teams. Throughout school at North Posey and travel volleyball at Metro, she primarily played as a defensive specialist. Her goal is to always create a positive team culture while also developing players' volleyball IQ and skill sets. She has loved the game since she started playing, and now looks forward to continuing to grow as a coach each season.
Mark started coaching at Metro in 2022 and has played club volleyball for close to 20 years. He enjoys working with players to help improve their skill sets while also teaching the importance of being part of a team. He believes in building a competitive spirit within the kids where they are always looking to improve which ultimately helps them to reach their full potential. Volleyball is such a wonderful game and he wants the kids to have fun, compete, and be a good teammate.
Karissa played one year of club volleyball at Vision in 2017. She then played volleyball at The Academy in Indianapolis from 2018-20. Karissa attended Franklin Central High School and played from 2017-20. She also has played college volleyball in 2021 at Ohio Wesleyan University.
Breanna played volleyball at Tecumseh High School where she started varsity as a freshman on the right side. She was selected to try out for the Jr. Women's Olympics along with receiving nominations to play in the All State All-Star games her junior and senior years of high school. She was awarded MVP playmaker with 25 points in regionals and advanced to semi-state that same year. Breanna moved on to play at Vincennes University for 3 years where she received a ranking of top 5 in the state for blocking, winning the NJCAA region 24 Championships and was on the Dean's list during her time playing there.
Sammie joined Metro in 2022. She has played volleyball at The Academy in 2014 and then at Team Indiana from 2015-18. Her primary position was middle but has played all the way around.
After graduating from Jasper High School in 2018, Maddie played collegiate volleyball at Hanover College for 4 years and graduated in 2022. Upon graduation, she accepted a varsity assistant coach position at Jasper. Her passion is to teach the fundamentals of volleyball and expand players knowledge at the younger level. Her goal is to create a positive environment where players can learn the game while still having fun.
Alexus started coaching club volleyball in 2018 and is the Junior Varsity Volleyball Coach at Castle High School where the varsity team competed in the 4A State Championship in 2021. She played volleyball at Castle High School and was a four year starter Indiana University East. In 2015 and 2016, Alexus was named First Team All-Conference and All-Metro Right Side Hitter. In 2016, she was named SIAC and All-Metro Player of the Year. Alexus coaches for the love of the game and to bring about the abilities of young girls that have the same passion.
