Showcases and combines provide an opportunity for prospective college athletes to demonstrate and display their abilities and knowledge in front of an audience of college coaches and their staff. They are generally one day and consist of general position specific drills followed by game play (usually 6 on 6) to imitate a match. Many of these showcases and combines are tied to large tournaments to attract high ability players and college coaches looking to recruit for their future classes. Often the showcase or combine facilitator will host a recruiting seminar with helpful tips and information for those interested in further pursuing their college playing aspirations.
